It is easy to fall in love with Estellencs; even the journey there is beautiful, along the serpentine stretches of the winding Ma-10 road,
and what greets visitors is a taste of old Majorca. As with the other destinations on this site, a detailed version of the route from Palma, complete with links to maps where appropriate, is available from the Route Map link on the left hand frame of this page. The little municipality of Estellencs is small even by Majorcan standrards, covering an area of 13.4 km² and boasting just 354 inhabitants at the last count. The little seaside village of Estellencs itself is the hub of the area and preserves all the charm of the real Majorca.

Despite its modest size, Estellencs has a small, but select smattering of hotels and restaurants. As far as hotels go, the most well known is the Hotel Maristel with four stars, but there are two smaller hotels: the Hotel Nord with eight rooms, set in a reformed house in the Plaça des Triquet, facing the old defence tower; and Sa Plana Petit Hotel with just five rooms, which is situated in a house on the outskirts of the village towards Andratx.
There are numerous quality restaurants in the area and, if you are looking for something authentically Majorcan, the Sa Tanca bar in the lower part of the village is worth a look as it is a favourite meeting point for local people.
